Why Wayanad wildlife Sanctuary must have on your bucket list?

  Established in 1973, the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary is conterminous to the defended area network of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the northeast and Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu on the southeast. Rich in biodiversity, the sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The operation lays emphasis on scientific conservation with due consideration for the general life of the tribals and others who live in and around the timber region. The Sanctuary has a large population of pachyderms and has been declared a Project Elephant point. Mammoths bat freely then and barracuda are observed sometimes as well. colorful species of deer, monkeys, and catcalls also live then. The Reserve is also home to an extravagance of catcalls, butterflies, and insects. The trees and shops in the sanctuary are typical of the south Indian wettish evanescent timbers and semi-evergreen timbers.
